PolyTrack Summer 1 Forest Passage: compact-loop cornering guide

Forest Passage is this site’s Summer 1: an easy summer track with woodland scenery. Do not confuse it with Summer 2 Coastal Sprint. The route is flat throughout and is useful for practising linked turns and straightening the car on exit.

Forest Passage / Forest Passage · Summer 1 · Easy · Road width: 13 m · Approximately 616 m. The overhead map shows direction, not elevation. Orange markers show obstacles.

Divide the route into outward, far-end and return sections

Leave the start toward the top of the map, then curve to the right. The far end opens into a crosswise section before the road returns down the right. The second half turns toward the bottom left, then joins the start from its left side. The map shows the actual route, with a start dot and direction arrow.

The road is 13 metres wide and rated easy, with an emphasis on curves. Its opening is shorter than Coastal Sprint’s. Concentrating on how the car lines up with each next section is a useful starting point before trying a long opening boost.

Treat the first bend as a bend, not more straight road

Accelerate once the countdown ends. As the outward section turns right, look at the exit, release the accelerator and use short steering inputs along the curve. You do not need to hug an edge on your first lap; leave correction room on both sides.

At the open far-end section, check that steering is released and the car points along the road before adding throttle. Continued steering can send you off even on a roomier section. Adjust slowing and steering to your actual entry speed.

Read the right-hand return and final bend together

After coming down the right, the road turns left below the start. Look beyond the current road edge toward the next section on the mini-map, so one corner does not end in a hurried correction for another.

The final curve from the lower left is a useful place to practise releasing steering. Gradually line the car up with the departure road and stay on the route through the finish. Passing all three checkpoints first is still required.

Plan three laps and small nitro experiments

Use no nitro on lap one and remember the first outward bend and right-side return. On lap two, try a short boost only where the far section opens and your direction is already steady. On lap three, repeat that boost and focus on whether the final bend needs abrupt corrections.

Golden rings replenish energy, but avoid swerving across the road to collect them. Aim for consecutive laps without a return penalty before shortening the time. Then try Coastal Sprint’s longer acceleration stretch or Mountain Climb’s more frequent direction changes.

Find Summer 1 and compare your results

On this site, Summer 1 means Forest Passage. The Track Wiki and game show both the series number and route name. Search by the name or Summer 1, then open its driving link. Keep the same track, car and mode; compare penalties first and complete lap times afterward.

Leave correction room on this 13-metre road. Linked curves can tempt you to hold steering too long. Release it after each bend, check that the car points along the next road section, then resume acceleration.

Read the obstacle, then choose a clear side

Orange markers on the map show obstacles. The table lists their occupied road sides in driving order. Left and right are relative to your driving direction. Learn the open lane first, then try increasing your speed.

The same track has the same number of obstacles in the same positions on every attempt. Solo driving and every system strength level use this layout, so routes and lap times can be compared fairly. system strength changes the opponent’s driving speed.
