PolyTrack editor: create, import and export routes
Open the game’s Track Builder and place points in driving order to make a smooth closed circuit. Start with an easy loop, then add bends and gentle hills. This editor imports its own JSON track files, rather than arbitrary sharing codes from other games.

Start with a closed route you can finish
Click empty map space to add a point, select a numbered point, then move it with the arrow buttons. Point 1 is the start, and the last point connects back to it. Leave room for that final return. Load Oval gives you a starting shape; Clear lets you begin from scratch.
Tracks allow 4–32 points, at least 28 metres apart, and a road width of 9–18 metres. Closely packed points can make the smooth road crowd itself. Establish the overall direction with a few points, then adjust their positions instead of continually adding more.
- Give the route a recognisable name.
- Start with flat ground and a moderate width, and complete the loop.
- When the route is ready to drive, select Test Drive.
Resolve steep slopes and overlapping roads
Select a point to set its height between 0 and 25 metres. Neighbouring points need gentle elevation changes. For a steep-climb warning, move them farther apart horizontally or reduce the height difference. Roads must be continuous; vertical loops, disconnected jumps and crossing bridges are unsupported.
Crossings and road sections that get too close are checked as well. Move points to leave space for the whole road. Raising one crossing section does not create a supported overpass. Routes must be between 160 and 3,000 metres long.
Test-driving and saving are separate actions
Test Drive lets you inspect tight bends, the start/finish join and space for steering corrections. Return to the editor afterward and adjust what you noticed. A ready-to-drive message is a starting point, so still complete a real practice lap.
When satisfied, select Save to My Tracks. This browser can keep up to 30 custom tracks, which you can open, edit or delete from track selection. An exported file gives an important creation an independent backup.
Export, import and share JSON
Export JSON downloads the current route for a friend or your backup folder. Import File accepts a JSON file up to 64 KB; Paste JSON accepts the full file contents. Import checks the name, point count, coordinates, width, slopes and road overlaps.
After importing, check the map and name, then test-drive and save. This site’s format uses version: 1, a name, width and route points with x/y/z coordinates. Another game’s compressed code, a different file version or a track name alone cannot be imported as a route.
What to check if importing fails
Follow the error message and check that the file is complete and point count and spacing meet the requirements. Do not delete required fields to bypass a warning. Adjust a faulty route in the editor and export again. Names allow up to 48 characters; map coordinates and heights have limits too.
Preset challenge links select an existing track; share custom tracks using exported JSON. On a new device, import the file or choose custom-track cloud sync in your account. Back up before clearing browser data so you do not lose your only local copy.

Return to the track and practise one skill
Keep the same track and mode, change one action, and see whether your next lap is steadier. If you need help, describe the bend and your controls in the driver comments.
