Leaderboard and privacy guide

PolyTrack leaderboard guide: scores, privacy and sharing

New online official-track finishes join anonymously by default. Turn this off before starting. Old records and custom tracks do not enter the board; local saves and optional sync continue as usual.

Which results can join?

Start a new lap from an official track’s challenge panel while online. After finishing, wait for the upload confirmation before sharing a leaderboard link. In NEON mode the final result is submitted after both racers finish.

Existing local, backup or cloud records are never imported into the board, and custom tracks are excluded. Laps completed offline, after the upload deadline or without joining the leaderboard still support local records, optional cloud sync and ordinary score cards.

To join the leaderboard, start online and finish and upload within 30 minutes. Offline or late results still remain on your device.

How do scores and times compare?

Score uses route length divided by penalty-inclusive lap time, multiplied by 100 and challenge factors; beating NEON adds 500 points. Track level and NEON strength affect the factor. Different cars, levels and modes share the board, so a higher score does not always mean a shorter lap.

Each participant has one best per track under current rules. Results sort by score, then shorter lap time, then which result finished uploading first. After rules change, older results remain in the history rather than mixing with the new board.

Anonymous names, nicknames and guest results

When you continue as a guest in the same browser, your anonymous name is remembered. After signing in, you can remain anonymous or choose a public nickname. Your email is never displayed on the leaderboard.

Guests can join anonymously without registering. After signing in, results move to your account only when you choose to link this browser’s guest results. Duplicate results on a track become one best. Previously hidden guest results stay hidden until you separately choose to publish them.

We check entry conditions and whether results are plausible, but unusual results may still get through. Contact us about suspicious scores.

Find tracks and your own results

Open the leaderboard, search for a track name and choose it. Use My best to see your own results and the page controls to browse other drivers. Check each result’s car, track level, solo or NEON conditions and date. After automatic checks, eligible results appear in the homepage leaderboard.

Why does a shared rank stay fixed?

After your result uploads successfully, create a share from the finish screen or your own leaderboard result. The page, copied text and PNG card keep the track, race rules, participant count, rank and date from when you shared. Current rank appears separately. Later improvements or overtakes do not change the old card into a current ranking.

A result surpassed by your own best can still share its score and time, but does not receive a second rank. You can share progress outside the top three. Ordinary local score cards remain available without becoming leaderboard results.

Stop participation or withdraw a share

Turning off hides existing results and revokes share links. Turning on restores unwithdrawn results, but old share links stay revoked.

Account leaderboard settings can permanently withdraw existing results. Their public pages and links become unavailable, while local records and your future participation choice remain. Also turn participation off if you do not want the next lap submitted.

Revoking the link cannot recall downloaded or forwarded images.

Return to the track and practise one skill

Keep the same track and mode, change one action, and see whether your next lap is steadier. If you need help, describe the bend and your controls in the driver comments.
